Removable Full & Partial Dentures
- Larry - Overdenture Larry came to us with an unusual problem: A full set of healthy natural teeth on the bottom jaw, but not much that could be saved on the upper arch. In addition, his upper front teeth were never really that attractive, even when he was young. Although Larry had plenty of good bone on his upper jaw, he did not want to pursue an implant solution because of the potential complexity of treatment.
- Larry - Overdenture Often a good compromise solution for patients is an overdenture, which is a denture resting on roots of natural teeth. It gives far stronger chewing ability. Typically strong canine teeth are given root canals, and trimmed to the gums. Then we cover them with metal copings that will later be topped with a magnet. This will make the denture fit so tightly, it will be hard to take out!
